As part of the international GLOBAL Re network, Global Re UK is committed to an efficient and orderly run-off of the liabilities of GLOBAL General and Reinsurance Co. Ltd.

Through a series of novations, commutations, solvent Schemes and portfolio transfers GLOBAL Re has succeeded in reducing GLOBAL General and Reinsurance Co. Ltd's reinsurance and direct insurance provisions by more than two thirds of their original value since they ceased underwriting in October 2002.

This experience combined with the knowledge from other third party service provision which commenced in 2006 means GLOBAL Re is ideally placed to develop solutions to insurance and reinsurance companies' run-off requirements.
